Essex Police were called to Central Park in Chelmsford at about 19:00 BST on Friday. Officers found a 21-year-old man with critical injuries and he died at the scene. Essex Police said he was the victim of an assault. The BBC understands he died following a stabbing.

A 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man have also been arrested. All three teenagers remain in custody. Essex Police said all three people arrested were from Chelmsford. On social media, Chelmsford Central Parkrun said Saturday's event had been cancelled "on police advice".
